Job: Item Entry/ Doctor Call Technician - Columbus, OH
    Location: Columbus, OH
    Description: Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00-5:30 PM Position Summary • A person in this position will evaluate prescriptions for accuracy and completeness. • This position performs prescription data entry duties and makes outbound calls to doctor’s offices as part of the order fulfillment process. Knowledge and Skill • Ability to read / evaluate prescriptions and translate medical terminology. • Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations. • Careful attention to detail and ability to focus on task at hand. • Ability to provide quick and accurate data entry (must be able to key at least 16 orders per hour). • Prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the principles, procedures and best practices related to this position. • Excellent presence on the phone --- embodies utmost professionalism as a representative of BioScrip. • Possesses ability to interact well with internal customers at all levels. • The ability to work with confidential material and maintain confidentiality is required along with sensitivity to customers’ needs and data. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. • Possesses analytical skills and the ability to apply great problem-solving skills. • Understands the importance of organization and quick turnaround.
    Qualifications: Education and Experience: • High School Diploma required. • Board Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) required. • At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician: dispensing, data entry, doctor calls, etc. • Bachelor’s degree in a business- or healthcare- related field is a plus, but not required.
