- State-of-the-art distribution. We dispense prescription medications through BioScrip Pharmacy Services, our mail distribution facility in Columbus, Ohio. This modern, 75,000-square-foot facility can fill thousands of prescriptions daily with accuracy rates that meet or beat industry standards.
- All specialty medications stocked. We offer brand name, generic and hard-to-find medications. We use our retail network to maintain extraordinarily low out-of-stock rates.
- Convenient mail delivery. Specialty medications are delivered free to a patient's home or physician's office.
- Order intake options. Participants can order by mail, phone, fax or Web. We can establish a custom phone number and website for your members.

More than half of all chronically ill patients don't use their medications properly, and two-thirds fail to take their medications altogether. According to the National Council on Patient Information, medication non-compliance results in an average of 4.2 days in the hospital. Helping patients use their medications properly and following physician treatment and lifestyle guidelines can reduce the chance of prolonged care, unnecessary emergency room visits and concomitant conditions resulting from patient non-adherence and non-compliance. - Clinical programs. - Drug utilization review (DUR). Our DUR process screens for a number of negative factors before a drug is dispensed, which keeps plan participants safe and limits duplicative prescriptions.

Coverage verification, formulary compliance (including application of prior authorization or step therapy programs), claims approvals, member co-pay and pharmacy reimbursement are all processed in real time.
- Benefits coordination. By exploring all participant coverage plans, we ensure that participants' out-of-pocket costs are kept as low as possible, while ensuring that your plan pays only its fair share for specialty drugs. We coordinate insurance benefits, helping resolve billing issues with nearly any insurance carrier or government program.
