When Chronimed, Inc. and MIM Corporation merged into BioScrip in 2005, we became a top provider in specialty pharmacy services, PBM and mail order services. Our shared vision evolved into a mission of balancing better patient outcomes with more affordable healthcare costs.
With the additional acquisition of Critical Homecare Solutions in 2010, BioScrip continues to grow stronger and now offers home health services and home nursing products and equipment. Today, we've combined the best of our national experience, community expertise and local convenience to become one of the largest pharmacy and home health service companies in the country.
Chronimed Inc. was founded in 1985 and became publicly traded in 1992. A pioneer in the specialty pharmacy industry, Chronimed provided services for patients with complex chronic health conditions and worked closely with managed care, pharmacy benefit managers and the insurance industry. In 1996, Chronimed acquired StatScript Pharmacy, a wholly-owned and operated retail chain.

Founded in 2006 by the acquisitions of two infusion therapy providers, Specialty Pharma, Inc. (SPI) and New England Home Therapies, Inc. (NEHT), Critical Homecare Solutions (CHS) became a leader in home infusion services and home health services. In 2007, CHS acquired Deaconess Enterprises, Inc. (Deaconess HomeCare), one of the 10 largest providers of comprehensive infusion and home nursing services in the country. The merger of CHS to BioScrip in 2010 strengthens BioScrip's position as a national leader of infusion therapy, specialty and mail order pharmacies, PBM services and home healthcare services.
